Shaanxi's Total Import and Export Value Expands 35.7% in the First 3 Quarters

The statistics released by Shaanxi Provincial Bureau of Statistics on November 7 showed that in the first 3 quarters, Shaanxi's total import and export value reached RMB 195.615 billion with an increase of 35.7% year on year, among which the export value reached RMB 117.107 billion yuan, a record high since 2017 with an increase of 55.9% year on year and the import value reached RMB 78.508 billion, up 13.7% year on year.

The import and export value of general trade in Shaanxi reached RMB 48.33 billion with an increase of 25.7% year on year, accounting for 24.7% of Shaanxi’s total foreign trade value. The processing trade value reached RMB 129.411 billion with an increase of 21.2% year on year, accounting for 66.2% of Shaanxi’s total foreign trade value. The value of imported equipment through Special Customs Supervision Areas reached RMB 10.892 billion with an increase of 197.5% year on year, accounting for 5.6% of Shaanxi’s total foreign trade value.

The import and export value between Shaanxi and its five major trading partners (Taiwan, the United States, South Korea, Hong Kong and Japan) reached RMB 142.197 billion, accounting for 72.7% of Shaanxi’s total import and export value.

With a contracting foreign projects turnover in the first three quarters of USD 2.477 billion over the last year’s amount of USD 2.429 billion, Shaanxi Province leads the western China and ranks the 9th all over China. The value of newly-signed contracts reached USD 2.429 billion, up 36.31% year on year.

As a major functional area in China (Shaanxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone, Xi’an achieved import and export value of RMB 183.741 billion with an increase of 36.8% year on year, accounting for 93.9% of Shaanxi’s total import and export value.
