Currently, more than 100 pieces of cultural relics from Luoyang Museum and Shaanxi History Museum as well as 55 pieces (sets) of cultural relics from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan are gathered by Shaanxi Province Culture Center for the “Miles upon Miles - World Heritage along the Silk Road” exhibition in Hong Kong, including a camel figurine of Tang Dynasty from Luoyang Museum and a gilt bronze silkworm from Shaanxi History Museum. This is the first time that Shaanxi has made transnational arrangement of cultural relics for exhibition.

Bai Lisha, project executive of Shaanxi Culture Center, said that under the guidance of State Administration of Cultural Heritage, this exhibition is to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland. Besides, this exhibition has diverse cultural relics from the early Iron Age to the Tang Dynasty, such as pottery, mural, bronze ware, jade, porcelain and so on.

It is reported that this is the first exhibition held jointly by China, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan to support the Belt and Road Initiative. After three counties applied for the list of World Heritage successfully, it is also the first exhibition under the frame of “World Cultural Heritage”.

The exhibition will open in Hong Kong Museum of History from November 28, 2017 to March 5, 2018.
