2017 China International General Aviation Convention Will Be Held in Xi’an Later This Month

On August 8, it was learned in the Press Conference of 2017 China International General Aviation Convention, that the Convention would be held from August 24 to 27 in Xi’an. The Convention will be co-hosted by Shaanxi Provincial Government, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Civil Aviation Administration of China and Aviation Industry Corporation of China, on the theme of “Promote the Development of General Aviation and Quicken the Aviation Industrial Cluster”.

China International General Aviation Convention is the highest-profile and largest international exposition in China general aviation industry approved by the State Council, held once every two years. So far, over 300 enterprises have already enrolled the Convention, in which foreign enterprises account for 18% and most are well-known enterprises in countries with developed general aviation in the world, which fully presents the international style of the Convention.

Over 50 aircrafts of various types have been identified to participate in the Aviation Convention. Among them, the first gyroplane “Eagle of the Sun” in China, the world’s first oil-driven four-rotor manned drone “Xiangyun 320”, the multi-purpose long-endurance unmanned rotaplane “Chuanyunying”, the vertical takeoff and landing composite-wing unmanned aerial vehicle “Tianyan” and so on are all the new self-developed types of our country.

Foreign enterprises will also display their representative aircrafts and innovations. German AutoGyro Limited will have its three latest main models participated in the Convention, including MTO sport, Calidus and Cavalon. Brand models of Bell Helicopter Textron, Airbus and some other world-famous aviation enterprises will also be exhibited, too.
