Young Students from Taiwan on a Study Tour to Understand Chinese Civilizations in Shaanxi

From June 28 to July 2, more than 50 teachers and students from Taipei University, Taipei University of Science and Technology, Cheng Shiu University of Science and Technology, Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism, etc., came to Shaanxi for a study tour of "Chinese Civilizations" for 5 days.

This event is part of the "2017 Chinese Civilizations"- Multiplication plan of study tour for young Students from Taiwan to the Mainland" launched by the National Tourism Administration. The event sponsored by the Cross-Strait Tourism Exchange Association and hosted by the Shaanxi Provincial Tourism Development Committee aims to enhance Taiwan youth's identity and pride in the Chinese nation and culture and strengthen the interaction between teachers and students of Taiwan and Mainland in tourism. Under the careful arrangement of the Shaanxi Provincial Tourism Development Committee, the study tour group of youth from Taiwan went to Xi'an Muslim Quarter, the Bell and Drum Tower Square, Shaanxi History Museum, Taibai Mountain, Terracotta Warriors and Horses of Qin Shihuang Mausoleum, Great Wild Goose Pagoda and other places, one after another in 5 days, understood the historical and cultural landscapes of Shaanxi, investigated the economical and social development achievements of Shaanxi, enhanced interaction with local students and understanding of to the historical and cultural landscape and folk customs of Shaanxi through scenic tour, business visits, exchanges of universities and other ways.
