On August 18th 2016, China Railway Express (Xi’an-Warsaw) departed from Xi’an Port. Xi’an Port is an inland port on the Silk Road without riverside or seaside geographical advantages, but it functions as a vital international inland transit hub on “the Belt and Road Economic Belt”. Xi’an Port has taken the initiative in promoting cooperation with Tianjin Port, Qingdao Port, Ningbo Port and Shanghai Port. Sea-rail combined transportation enables the goods in Shaanxi to be transported to the above ports through rail transportation and then to be transshipped to Canada and the United States through sea transportation. In addition, train-air transportation has become the new normal state at Xi’an Port.
