Announcement for Implementing the Permit System for Foreigners Working in China Issued by Shaanxi Provincial Administration of Foreign Experts

To strengthen and improve the efficiency of administration on foreigners working in China, the following measures on “work permits for foreigners working in Shaanxi” will be implemented according to the Permit System for Foreigners Working in China Issued by State Administration of Foreign Experts, Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Foreign Experts Issue [2017], No. 40):

1. Starting from April 1st, the previous “Employment Permit for Foreigners Working in China” and “Work Permit for Foreign Experts Working in China” will be combined as “Work Permit for Foreigners Working in China”, and related procedures for foreigners working in China will be initiated across the province.

2. All the legally issued “Employment Permit for Foreigners Working in China” and “Work Permit for Foreign Experts Working in China” will be held valid before its expiry date and the holders are at their free will to get a new one from October 1st, 2017.

3. All foreigners should get a work permit to work in Shaanxi, according to Administrative Permission Law of the People’s Republic of China and Exit and Entry Administration Law of the People’s Republic of China, unless otherwise specified in related laws and regulations.
